Michelle began training jiu-jitsu with Team Dave Trader in 2007 and has developed into an excellent competitor. She is one of the most active female competitors on the local, regional, and national tournament circuits. Always in the medal mix, in 2014 Michelle was the IBJJF #1 ranked female blue belt in the world. After a short break in the competition circuit, she returned with a vengeance in late 2016-2017, with double gold at the 2016 IBJJF Atlanta Summer open, Silver at the 2017 IBJJF New York Spring open, gold again in Atlanta at the 2017 IBJJF Atlanta Spring open, and bronze at the 2017 IBJJF World Championship in Long beach, California! Look out for upcoming performances in Las Vegas at the IBJJF World Masters, and the IBJJF DC Open.
